I have a 95 c280 that needs an air compressor; but does the air compressor have anything to do with the engine losing compression or lacking rpm speed when driving.easyeels@yahoo.com

I think you mean the exhaust air injection compressor, if so, it has nothing to do with the actual engine pressures.
