Eurovision Political Contest, with songs

Here we go again, the Eurovision being used as a political platform.

Aside from the Euro bit that it certainly 'aint anymore, I being more cynical when I heard the Russian choice of singer my thoughts were that that'll look bad on Ukraine to block the entry, but they've found a way.

My vote goes to Australia, even though I've not heard it yet.
Does the UK have much interest in this contest any more?

More countries, more money for the organisers. There are some strange ideas as to which countries are Euro.

It amazes me that there are profits that in a large part are paid for by tax payers of the host country. Ukraine must be doing better than I thought, unless the competition is being held in a tent with candles for lights.

Israel and Oz got into the contest because they are part of the EBU the European Broadcasting Union ( I know?.dont ask) and i believe that means they contribute financially

Absolutely, he used to have me in stitches. More so as the night went on and obviously so did the Gin & Tonics.
One of the few 'celebs' I truly miss.
