Its a shame there are no power gains of worth for my 320.

Whack a turbo on it. There was a guy in the states who did that and didnt need a decompression plate IIRC (I'll try and dig out the thread to give you some details)
and all standard internals. Though I dunno what your thinking is on this. Its an I6 isnt it?

theres space for a turbo, but any more boost than 2-3 psi, you are going to need decompression otherwise you will get dangerous knocking!

You would see a very small amount of power however throttle responce and drivabilty would be greatly improved.

Outright power would not be somthing that remapping would help without the aid of a pulley upgrade then you would see gains worthy respectable power

Will supercharging require some reduction in compression? Or is the theory different?

2008 A180 cdi. Already has a remap but would be interested in seeing what difference there is with a bespoke remap and if you can improve fuel economy too.

Thought I would throw my car (100k 2004 CLK 270cdi) into the fray - would be interesting to see what the improvement would be to a 270cdi engine.

We are not trying to exclude members from this however please see it from our point of view, we are asking very little of your time. If you do not have an account and want enter all you have to do is sign up.

We are only trying to help im sure you can agree with and email address you will already have to sign up to this forum it takes a mere 5 minutes to have everything set up.

No worries mate.

I haven't entered for 2 reasons:

1, I have neither a Facebook nor a Twitter account and I don't want one.

2, I really don't think I'd stand a chance of winning a competition to tune a 1998 300 td, with a tank containing a mixture of diesel, waste vegetable oil and unleaded petrol! I'd be gobsmacked if you could get anything out of that!
