I like the look of the G wagon conversions, especially ones that are resprayed and refitted on ebay for 10k+ ... I wonder if there is an advice section on these to see if they're worth it?

Its not my secret to give! Many nights sat with wiring diagrams and loomes on a living room floor is the answer though!

I have converted a few old w123 cars from petrol to diesel, as well as auto to manual, and even manual to auto - used to enjoy all that, but no CAN bus comms to deal with!

Well done with this one, it looks very neat indeed!

Yep, still his everyday car. Has since fitted a chip to the ECU to upgrade the performance more (mainly just for experimental purposes really), and still achieving mid-30's MPG easily. Currently re-trimming the interior with leather.

sounds good....oh to have the time!

I assume air flow meter exhaust sensor etc.. Thinkin of buying a complete car and stripping it out till the engine stops! Take it from there then!

Hi Rob, I'm new here but am also preparing for the same swap. Interested in the electronics and how she is going still.

Yes, thank you I've probably read most of them.
I'm hopefully getting my OM606 early in January. I had intended using the 603 NA IP but this here sounds interesting. Also because all the stock settings would remain.

Yep, the one with the fly-by-wire and electronic key is still running fault free. A couple that had the old mechanical pump onto the turbo engines have (predicatively) caused a few problems.
