Apologies if this has been discussed before but I only joined today. Road tests have mentioned what they have called a 'dim witted' gear change on this model and my experience had been the same, until I discovered that turning off the ESP totally transforms this car. Gear changes are quicker and more intuitive, both up and down the box, even giving a degree of engine braking. The car doesn't fall over itself every time it's shown a corner and is more predictable and progressive on the exit as all the torque is available to drive all four wheels in a safe and controlled fashion. Should you have been frustrated with the same irritation, try the above, you'll be amazed and delighted.
