Tried soap and water and all purpose cleaner sprays and made little difference.Try soap and water or All purpose cleaner sprays (Halfords) if you want a cheaper option
Any of the car valeters or carpet cleaning companies can probably do it easilyTried soap and water and all purpose cleaner sprays and made little difference.

Freezer spray also works...ask me how I knowAlso brilliant for removing dried on chewing gum and kids sticky sweets...ask me how I know?
I give up how do you know?If it’s really stubborn you could use a steam cleaning device like a grout cleaner first

Allegedly the previous owner ran a Chinese take-away hence the mucky seat belt...Freezer spray also works...ask me how I know
Autoglym car interior shampoo (in the 500ml spray bottle) is most excellent at getting rid of Mark in carpets so would also work well on a light coloured seat belt.
Had an A6 avant which suffered at the hands of my little cherubs had to be - ahem - cleansed !I give up how do you know?
Yup even used LC02 if pushed !Freezer spray also works...ask me how I know

Could you pull out enough belt to leave a section in a bucket of hot soapy water overnight ?Allegedly the previous owner ran a Chinese take-away hence the mucky seat belt...
Some good ideas coming through. I have time enough to try all of them and will do so over the next couple of days.Could you pull out enough belt to leave a section in a bucket of hot soapy water overnight ?
What about whatever soap would be used in a washing machine ? I can install one but don’t know how it worksSome good ideas coming through. I have time enough to try all of them and will do so over the next couple of days.
Really appreciate all the responses...

Ask the Chinese chip shop owner what he uses to wash himself at night , surely that must work on the seat belt as wellWell, funny you should mention washing machine stuff Wighty. I only use powder as it gets to the heart of cleaning - says me your own domestic god! The powder takes ages to dissolve by hand so will use a hand whisk and again report back...
Having sorted out greased up carpets and cleaning the leather seats it's just the belts to finish off the interior as far as I'm concerned...mind you this is not to professional standards but my family think it looks good and that's all that matters these days.
