Head Gasket failure on 54reg C180K with only 28k miles!!

Yes you read that right - the head gasket failed on my C180K!
Less than 3 years old and only 28k miles on the clock!

Fortunately all was covered under warranty and I got the car back yesterday.

it certainly is. Head gasket failures on mercs seem to be pretty rare irrespective.
We had one on a W123 250 in 1982 but nothing since!

That said, I had a con rod failure on an Audi A3 T Sport - 2 days and 60 miles old! These things happen.
