The headlight adjustment on my 300 sl is not right, the near side is ok, but the off side is too low even when turning the dial to bring the beam upwards, can you tell me how to correct this please.

Only by bring the bottom out, that has the same effect

if the both beams alter when moving the range adjustment inside the car with the engine running then adjust it with the screws underneath headlamp trim. there are 4 fixing screws and 2 adjusting ones, the adjusting ones have countersunk washers on. if lamps do not move from vac switch or one does, trace vac leak.

107 headlight adjustment

Thanks Gents, it was the screw adjustment that was in need of adjustment, had it all to bits and could see that the screw was wound in so the beam was pointing very low and not too far in front of the car, even when the dial adjuster on the heater board was rotated. All ok now and Many Thanks
