I’m collecting grey cars as well a Selenite E class and a Mineral Grey BMW. I wouldn’t have looked at purchasing a grey car 20 years ago but DRLs changed all that and created a trend I guess I like the colour due to it’s subtlety and ageless qualities much like black and white.

I'm not a fan of grey usually but our last C Class was Tenorite Grey and it was beautiful.

Its a very nice colour and looks classy on your SL. I think it will age really well as you say. I wonder if those lime green colours will look good in a few years, though I do like many of them - fun and modern but goodness knows I'd never have a 'fun' colour
