Amazing, I've owned Mercs for over 15 years in this country, for 24 years all told though, and have never seen this Group/Forum before. I've been a Member of the MBClub since 2005 though, but sadly it's not the same place now.

Anyway, I'm on my 9th Merce now, a 2000 (W) w220 S500 that I recently purchased. I wasn't particularly looking for one but when I saw the Ad, I just had to have it! (I just hope it doesn't bite me).

My previous being: (In chronological order of ownership).

1) w123/200 Saloon Manual.
2) w116/350se Saloon Auto.
3) w124/300te Estate Auto
4) w126/560sel Saloon Auto
5) w124/300ce Coupe Auto
6) w124/300e-24v Saloon Auto.
7) w208/320clk Coupe Auto.
8) w208/320clk Coupe Auto.

So I'm here purely by chance as I was looking for info on w220's and this site popped up.

As stated, I haven't had her long but the only 2 things that do not seem to be working is the A/C, although all other features work as they should. Also the CD Changer has been changed for a MP40 Card Reader in the Boot. When I press CD on the Command I just get, "No CD Changer". Not too sure why it doesn't work...??? All other operation are 100%, even the Satnav!

Unfortunately one of the 3 Jets in the nearside Headlight Washer is missing so I end up with a Fountain...lol. Not sure if they are available individually...?

Anyway, I've bored you enough other than share a couple of photo's I took recently.

Thanks for having me.

Regards, Bill.

Hi and welcome to the forum. That’s quite a car you have there. I’m sort of South Central but around 12 miles from the coast.

Thank you.... You're most kind!
Yes, I can hear ships sound off as they enter Southampton Water - not to mention the Foghorns of a foggy night!

But 12 miles in anywhere is a nice place to be!

Ciao, Bill.

Welcome nice pictures, like you I have also had two CKL's.
Only bought the 212 saloon as the boot is too small on the E class coupe.

Hi.
Many years ago I used to live sort of that way - in Thorpe-le-Soken. Went to school in Frinton. And my sister used to live in Dedham, almost Suffolk.....lol.
But I remember going to Felixstowe and Harwich with my folks on Sunday drives. Do people still do that...???
Cheers for now.
