High pitched noise from engine

I have an A200 1.3 petrol engine registered January 2023. It has an intermittent high pitched noise, Mercedes have replaced the air-conditioning compressor under warranty as they said after 5 months the bearings had failed. All was fine for a few months but the noise has returned.

This is obviously a warranty claim so it’s a case of taking the car back to MB it’s very likely the ‘new’ AC compressor has the same fault from what you’ve said (that’s if it was changed and not just recharged with oil). Do report back it’s always useful to other members

Not sure but being under warranty it would have been a Mercedes genuine part.

If it turns out to be the air conditioning compressor again, perhaps they should check out the auxiliary belt tension in case it's too high.
