From what I remember driving in France: if for instance you have a puncture on the motorway you are rescued by the motorway's own service crew who take you and car to the nearest garage. At that point does Mercedes own (RAC?) rescue take over after you've phoned them and take you to nearest Merceds service garage? Could be quite time consuming compared to break down on normal French road when Mercedes could take over directly. Anyone remember?

From what I remember, the French toll crew take you off the Motorway (and charge you for doing so) and then you call Mobile who takeover the normal Mercedes recovery service. So, if you have a problem, get off the Motorway before you actually breakdown!

I don't think get off motorway costs are recoverable on most schemes
