I’ve been with Admiral for the last 5 years, my cls63 was £560/y , I’ve sold the merc and put the velar on the policy, renewal is due in couple of days and, surprise: £2671 …that’s absolutely insane !!!! I’ve tried Adrian flux with all the bla, bla, bla : best deal on the market, forums member, dash cam etc : 40 minutes on the phone on hold, online more than 24 hours to receive an email stating I have to call them for the best deal which was: £2600 …absolutely a joke !!! Finally I insured the s***y velar for £1402/y with a different company

Exactly !!! The car is in a locked compound day and night, under 6 cctv, remote control gate, keys in a faraday box and is not the most expensive car parked there…I don’t know what’s going on in this industry

A friend of mines friend (if that makes sense) lives in London. His new Range Rover was stolen from his house. Cctv cameras everywhere, gated property, vehicle had a tracker, plus a disc steering wheel lock.
The tracker people were alerted when the vehicle was moved at an unusual time of night. Police turned up at his house asking if he knew this RR was parked near North London. I think in a warehouse. Anyway they had gained access, cut the steering wheel in half to remove the disc lock and drove off.
So organised crime, looked like the car was set for Europe. Luckily the chap got his vehicle back. Many thousands for a new steering wheel.
Nothing is safe nowadays, not even insuring you car, you are getting ripped off there too!

I have a few Range Rover stories to relay, best of all is one on order, the customer could not insure nor cancel the order. Looking at a major loss before even taking delivery.

I also enjoy the chase, I just hate the fact that I'm forced to do it every year, and the days of getting an even better deal than last year seem to have gone.
I remember once, when I was in my 50's Saga gave me an extra £200 off their quote if they could give me a quote on my house insurance. Obviously I took their house quote, but didn't accept it.

Actually loving it...really nice to drive...looks very modern...nippy economic a year old today...1st service next week £170... done 5k miles.....can honestly say I not missing the Merc' at all...I will probably get another in 18 months...

My renewals have all landed today ..... All have gone up by about half! . It wasn't unexpected, but I struggle to see why insurance has gone up by so much other than insurance companies are greedy barstewards!

Time for a phone around/Google search next week .....

That’s just the buyer’s own stupidity in every way. It’s common sense to get a quote before buying just to make sure no unwanted surprises are thrown up.
