Rang Adrian Flux this afternoon for a price for insurance on my W204 C320 CDI. It wasn't as cheap as the likes of Go Compare, but it did come with a good standard of cover.

I enquired about policy on getting it chipped or remapped and was told that rough rule of thumb was whatever % BHP boost I was getting would cost the same % hike on my premium (i.e. 15% BHP increase would mean 15% insurance increase).

This seemed pretty reasonable to me. What is everyone else's experience? Any particular insurers to try? (I'm yet to call Chris Knott).

For my Brabus chipped E320 Aviva put the policy up initially by around 10%. Many others declined.

Rather bizarrely, this time round my E63 came in at half what the E320 cost .

John, are you still with Aviva? I've heard before they're good for modified. I'll try giving them a call.
