I've been told that Mecedes Benz only made 502 of the 190E 2.5 16v Cosworth model, of which appoximately 75% were LH drive. Can anyone confirm this?

They made 502 2.5-16 Sport Evolutions and 502 2.5-16 Evolution 2's, all were LHD. The standard 2.5-16 was made in RHD as well and was not a limited production model.

The Cossies,

Although very desirable, were made in large numbers.

The two Evo's (i & ii), on the other hand are completely different cars. They were very expensive new (I think 50 odd grand) LHD only. They were made so as to qualify for the german touring car championship, and the souped up versions were very sucessful. They were all sold at their motor show launch, i think maybe Geneva. Some come on the market in the UK from time to time. But be careful, some are not true Evo's, but cossies converted to Evo's. A good example will cost over £20k+.

there are some guys here who know a lot more about them than me, but if you use Google you should be able to find all you need.
