I remember watching the excellent TV series Succession and wondered why sometimes the family would exit from what looked like a van?

In New Bond street at the weekend I saw a few and managed to get a glimpse inside one, palatial and luxurious for sure....checking Auto trader I'm seeing the top end ones going for £190K.

Wow!

Well aren't they a strange concept - not quite a luxury car and not quite a van! Would prefer an S Class or even a G-wagon, but G is somewhat on the vulgar side (he says wantonly)!

2014 639 Viano- 651, 5sp Auto. 2009 S211- 646, 5sp Auto.
I'm assuming that the 447 base is a progression of the 639.
So I would expect the S class to be far better put together.

Certainly our 2009 E class is in a different class of assembly than the Vito's and Viano's I've had. But the 639 is more versatile, when I'm not putting things right.

Our 447 (my 2019) isn’t too bad, not on par with an S class by any stretch of the imagination but a nice place to be. Better than a Vaneo or Vito imho. However it is still built on a van.

The custom £140k plus ones are quite plush though.
