Looks a nice car Lee and I especially like the updated grill. The colour is marmite, but I like it.
It seems a reasonable price for a sub 100k mile car with service history. Just check its had an annual service and the MOT history checks out with the service record. The dealer should have the service record already printed out showing previous main dealer history. The ad states it was serviced at 88k miles, but its the date that is important. Its every 12 months so haggle a service if its due in the next 3/4 months.
Check it has decent quality tyres fitted and the brake pads still have some meat on them. If not, worn pads and discs can help you when agreeing on a price.

Thanks guys it’s not the engine I wanted, it’s the 234bhp but just been reading up on the reviews of the trader Some bad ones on there is putting me of a bit really. I know you can’t please everyone but when buying a car like this it has to be right

Cant see any service history, I would want full MBSH at that age & milage.
Its the 231BHP engine, most seem to thing the slightly later 265BHP version is a better variation.
Road tax is £350 on that, its £240 on the later one. I have the 2011 265 BHP one & I am very pleased with it.
As for price I think its a little expensive.

And at least one gearbox service although at that age it should be heading towards it's 3rd.

Personally I don't like the grille and what is going on with the rear number plate bolts!!!!!! and the stain on the boot floor

The one you posted looks really interesting- ditch the grille and if the history is good it looks great

I have to disagree about the car needing a full MBSH. Once the warranty runs out, a lot of owners prefer to have their car serviced by an indy. I see nothing wrong with that. It's more important to me to see its been done by the book and within the specified mileage and annually.
I would however want to see the complete service record before even looking at the car. If its incomplete or missing services, walk away.
Reading later posts, I see the dealer in question doesn't have the best reviews so I'd be very wary. £7k is a lot to spend on a pup.

The service history of each car for sale is posted on the Mercland site so easy to view - the one he has for sale has been well serviced - the bonus is Jay selects his vehicles for sale carefully and it will be serviced ready to go by them. The 2 years added warranty cover is worth considering I believe they underwrite it

Not a big fan of the grille to be honest. Seems like it's been tarted up. Personally I'd go with the 265bhp model, I'd keep searching. :D

I have only ever bought second hand Mercedes with full MBSH. My preference & its always worked for me, & I have never had a major component fail.
