Hi, I have not changed the oil on this car yet. Is the oil filter behind the engine? See 2nd picture.

Thank you, I thought that it might be,
Brian
There is a paper oil filter inside . The torque setting to tighten the cap is written on the top of the plastic cap

Before removing the cap it's worth surrounding the lower section with paper towels to soak up the spillage.

And when you take the filter out it will drop loads of oil all over the engine bay unless you get a wad of paper towel under it pronto!

Just beaten to it by M80.

I cut a 1.5 l water bottle in half. Paper towel in bottom, oil filter straight out and into bottle before it has a chance to drip. Pull the filter holder out of the filter & push top of bottle over the bottom, giving plenty of protection prior to disposal.

I use a split 2ltr milk carton for this job...drop the filter into the bottom half of the carton, then slip the top half of the carton down over the bottom half, generally a few taps with a piece of wood does the job and forms a good seal to prevent oil escaping. I leave the cap in place, making sure that it's tight, wind some gorilla tape over the joint and he presto. job done.
