Hmm. But thats the thing. My work buddy keeps telling me that it is not the barrel that breaks. He says that it is inside the assembly, a sprint that breaks. And he was a Mercedes mechanic for 15 years

Hi All, I am a new member, I have the same problem with ignition barrel jammed solid will not turn at all, I have decided to replace the full ignition and steering lock mechanism, any advice would be more than welcome, I live in Wrexham, driving a 1989 Merc 190E 2.6, Thank you.
