Fair play. It's just that a Google search usually throws up variations that I can't distinguish between. I'm learning about mechanics but I still need a bit of hand-holding to make sure I don't do something stupid.

Presumably this one would be OK?

However, on Autodoc they have 2 different Ridex sensors which look identical but have two different part numbers. The filter says both fit my car so what might be the difference? They're only £13/16 and I've bought other Ridex stuff which is really good... Screenshot_2022-02-11-20-55-22-95_260528048de7f2f358f0056f785be619.jpg

if u'd followed the link I gave above u'd have found it - u need a 24 mm deep socket, watch out for the aluminum washer they don't have in stock (coz dealerships are thick)

Followed your advice:

Took apart the actuator, sprayed the electrics with Servisol and lubed the worm gear...

Replaced the boost pressure sensor...

Car fired up immediately (always a relief) but haven't taken it for a run yet...

Back in the game buddy :) .
I haven’t used my car in the dark much since I fitted new headlight bulbs , but a quick takeaway run last night and they have transformed night time driving .

Won't know if it's worked until I stop at a motorway service station, lol...

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with my £30 bulbs; just need to get to a car park to tweak the adjustments...

I appreciate this is an old thread, but did you manage to get this issue fixed? I believe I’m having the same one right now. Thank you.
