Hi,
First post and first Mercedes (06 C220 CDI coupe). Have just had a full service done at Kwik Fit as had a voucher code. Surprisingly they have "found" a number of faults which they say requires attention.
1.NSF lower arm dustcover is damaged
2. middle exhaust hanger is broken
3. Ususal about tyres being low etc.
Now the Car was only MOT'd last week by a garage i have used for years on my Landrovers. Only advisory was the Brakelines were starting to show corrosion.
The guy at Kwikfit said it looks like the exhaust hanger has been welded before.
The price they have given me including two new tyres, 2 new rear discs and pads as apparently one was slightly corroded? is £900. I told him to foxtrot oscar.
Would any of the above failed the MOT? I have found the dust covers on fleebay for £12 but am not too clued up on them having only owned landys before this mercedes. Also can the exhaust hook just be re-welded as he quoted just £400 for that fix!
any help appreciated and apologies if this is in the wrong thread.
Cheers JT (Loving the car btw)
