Lacquer bubble spots and peeling

Hi I have a 2015 Red SLK 250 AMG which I purchased a few months in Feb 24.
I have noticed lots of bubbles and peeling lacquer on the car, dose MB have a paint warranty.
What’s the best way to approach the issue

Unfortunately you’ll struggle having just purchased the car recently.

If the car has a full MB history it helps I’d approach the local MB dealer first and then MBUK if you don’t get a positive reaction. This is a well known problem do some research on here and the net to back up your complaint

Sounds as though you have a Fire Opal Red SLK. The problem is common and well reported here and on other forums. Apparently over 2500 MB's are affected and only a bare metal respray will work. It is worth searching this and other forums to see how other owners have approached the issue. MB will fob you off initially and the problem you have is that your's is a recent purchase. Were the defects not apparent when you bought the car? Always worth reading consumer legislation on this type of issue as well.

My first S tank had bubbling paint/rust at three years old. Boston Mercedes repaired all the areas. The critical bit was Mercedes service history.
The tie in with Chrysler cost money and reputation.

I regularly used to see an S Class that, despite being polished to beggary, was absolutely covered in rust blisters. I mean every panel as well including the roof.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I have contacted CAB they said I was covered by the consumer rights act 2015, have meeting with the Garage tomorrow.
CAB said the Garage has to repair or replace.

They will want proof that it wasn’t there when you purchased the car, the bubbling doesn’t happen in just a couple of months so you may have to prove it wasn’t there when you bought it
