Looking for C63 - option codes?

Hi all,

Now that my SL55 has gone i'm on the market for a C63, I have got my eyes on one that is advertised as having the LSD and Harmon Kardon stereo option, however, upon putting the chassis number into some online decoders I cannot see what code represents above?!

Does anyone have a link to an accurate vin decoder? I will resort to calling a main dealer but want to do my own homework first....

Thanks, I have looked at a couple of difference decoders but different things are coming up. I 'think' option 810 is the Harmon Kardon but on here it just specifies 'Sound System'. I have pasted the options below....

I'm looking for the code for the LSD option. It's advertised as having it but I cannot see the option nor find the code. I've spoken to MB now they have confirmed the HK system but couldn't answer the LSD one.

I think an LSD was only fitted to AMG's with the Performance Package (PP), I can't remember the option code off the top of my head but have a look at Rotorheads Thread, It should confirm the codes that were eventually found missing on his C63

Thanks JBell, just found it in the thread too, should be P30 for performance pack which included LSD as you say and then there was P31 which was PP and then required 471 adding as well.

On the pre facelift it was included in the Performance Pack, on the facelift it was an extra IIRC

810 is Harman Kardon.

Car has NTG4 comand and is model year 2009.

Doesn't have reverse camera, media interface, comfort phone, TV or DAB.

Quite a basic spec actually.

Thanks Alfie and all for clarifying. As it is the lower end of the C63 price bracket I am expecting a lower spec. HK was my only real concern, not interested in TV as there is fook all on at 6am or 6pm when I will be driving it, plus I barely listen to the radio so DAB is irrelevant..... I imagine the reverse camera can be retro fitted? What is comfort phone?

Is the NTG4 comand the standard sat nav? (as per what I would have on my 58 plate c220cdi sport?) I think they updated this on 2010+ didn't they?

It is the pre facelift nav, IIRC the facelift was NTG4.5 from 2011/2 onwards (i.e not the pop up screen)

ah ok cool, I wasn't sure if there were variations of the 'popup' screen. I do prefer the interior of the facelift (and the exterior) but I need another 6 or 7k to budget, difficult to find when we are trying to build a house plus a baby on the way!!!

If you can find a pre facelift with the Perf Pack then it will have the LSD.

Seems that the ones with the Perf.Pack are commanding more money for obvious reasons.... I'm going to go and look at this one, perhaps buy it, keep it for a year and then in the mean time stash some spondoolies and upgrade to the facelift one! I've been stuck using my Lexus for a month now (yawn) while the missus uses the other merc so getting fed up!!

Noooo not an estate one!! I do like them but having been watching autotrader / ebay they just don't seem to sell that well. Just like cream leather in C63's, I really like it but it seems that if it's not black leather people don't really want to know!

I can confirm that if you have the 2012 facelift car onwards (available late 2011)... Then the Performance Pack DOES NOT have the limited slip diff! :evil:

Can't see either Performance Pack, or Performance Pack Plus listed on your decode above.

Maybe an aftermarket fitment? (Quaiffe or Wavetrac?)

Lol, garage is being built as we speak (well work just started - 26ft x 26ft ) so plenty of space, not sure she will be too happy to sell the baby!! Selling the missus could be an option lol!!

Rotorhead - the one in question is a pre-facelift / 2009 / 58 plate, black with black interior, 63k, full mb history and options above. Looks nice, has a 'V8' private plate but will sell that on as I have one to go on.
