Hi
Have a Merc E220 AMG estate 15 plate bought second hand with 18k on clock
Had it about 11/2 years now and not a bit of trouble
Today the management light came on, can find no fault with car it drives and
performs as it should. Gave it a run tonight and gunned it several times but
it gave no indication as to the problem
So forum members what's my next move
Cheers

I the battery in good condition? Had similar problem a few years ago, new battery (now in my Ponton) and after I think 5 starts the light went out. Failing this get the codes read using Star.

First thing is to get the fault code read by a proper Mercedes garage with the correct diagnostic equipment, either a main dealer or independent. If you still have warranty on the car then definitely main dealer, ideally where it was bought from.

Basically the car is telling you that it has a fault somewhere and the only way to find out what it is would be to get it on a machine and get it to explain what's happening.

A yellow light which still lets you drive "should" be OK, but it needs sorting as it's potentially blocking a more serious fault from showing. It could be something as simple as a rogue sensor or even just a false code, which mine had, in which case a simple reset should sort it out.

Exactly this. Note it does need to be a proper MB specific reader as a generic reader won't read all faults. The best is to take it somewhere that has MB STAR diagnostics.
You don't say where you are located but there is a list of independent Mercedes specialists on the site.
