Hello wonder if anybody can help me. I have old Mercedes 709, never let me down or not started. Been parked up for about 6weeks and only thing I have done is pump the exccelerator beacause it was sticking a bit, would doing that somehow suck back the diesel , sorry such a stupid question but not so good with mechanics , thanks

in a nutshell, no. I cant remember what the set-up is on the 709 etc from a fuel pipe point of view, but id guess you have something like a perished hose that's gone porous and letting air into the fuel or similar. if they have the plastic pipes and rubber o rings like on most of MBs diesel cars, then those O rings are the most likely cause of the problem
