Think it's more like "designed for flattish roads in good condition".....sadly many UK roads are like a donkey track over the Andes... :(

;)

Sorry Ken but that's bollocks.

Everyone knows the YT-1300 has a hyperdrive; the flux capacitor belongs to Doc Brown (who stole Buckaroo Banzai's oscillation overthruster then renamed it...)

I thought only Indy 500 cars were designed to pull to the left? ;)

If anyone is going to WIM to have the longer bolts fitted. Buy them from Mercedes first as they are about £6-7 a bolt, not then near £30 that WIM charge. I found this out after I had made an appt and paid for them to be fitted. This was 3yrs ago though so price may have changed.

But it solved the issue on my S204.
Price has changed Carl
Even with my 10% discount. The dual set with nuts are like £32

Pretty sure its complete apathy and disinterest by the Manu - even the clock in my S class is designed for LHD, sit on the left and as the BBC beeps go off the clock is spot on, sit on the right and its always showing 1 minute to !!!! (that's a lie its more like 2 minutes to and NON adjustable)

Driving wise mine was in spec and pulled left heavily, WIM set it up all round (tweaking tracking and right front camber slightly - now more upright, to sort camber stagger) and it still pulls left but with less vengeance. Swapped out the Conti summer tyres for Kumho Winter tyres and it almost drives straight these days.

Surely the parlance should be:
"drifts to port, captain?"

Or something similar in a nautical vein...

That's still about 50% cheaper than WIM then as they were about £30 each!

Odd they told me they were bout £30 for both.
I only got them fom MB, because I was going there to get some ABC fluid anyway. Plus building up the service record, it gives me proof everything is genuine MB.

They must have changed then. As said it was 3-4yrs ago now when I had it done.

its somewhere around
3 quid a nut
4 quid per washer
7 quid a bolt

or 33 quid for the kit of 4 bits...

2 years ago WIM charged £135 to fit one camber bolt (that I supplied) and tweaked the tracking.... daylight robbery for a 60 quid job, then tried to buy back my spare bolts for 16 quid a set
