Hello all,

I have the tools/machinery/skills(i hope) and interest in getting a w201 190 diesel and attaching a mercedes kompressor or perhaps an aftermarket super charger to it. As well as widening the stance with fabricated custom arch extensions and upgrading the suspension for as best handling as possible.

At the moment ive been looking at old worn 2.0 litre or 2.5 litre models, as im pretty happy to let the outside get a little frankenstien "resto look" whilst i build the base of the car. I liked the idea of getting the 2.0 4 cylinder as it seems to be 90-120kg lighter already and im looking more down the route of lighter better handling vehicle and good usable daily power hence the diesel which i know and love. I figured the kompressor, with egr delete, straight pipe exhaust, and tuned fuel pump would create a pretty massive change in hp.
The 2.0 litre engine is 72 hp, how realistic is atleast say 150hp safely or more?

Im pretty confident i could pull it off but before i do anything silly;

Is the kompressor install possible?

There is ofcourse the cosworth models for inspiration, and ive seen lots of aftermarket suspension products online. Can i expect decent daily b-road handling out of one of these?

cheers

Mercedes did not fit a turbo on the 190 and 124 diesel for right hand drive, but a after market one was produced by a turbo Co in this country, have seen them on EBay.I have a 190 diesel 250d which will keep up with most modern cars. Will do 120mph all day and return 45 mpg. The 5 cylinder is a well balanced engine.
