Can anyone help with my query, does the MOT require the rear foglamp to be situated on the offside of the car? i.e. the side that is nearest to the middle of the road. Also with regards to reversing lights, I know it's not a legal requirement to have one, but if a single reversing light is fitted, does it matter which side of the car it is on?

You have probably got the answer to this already by now, but you are right, the fog lamp needs to be nearest the centre of the road. as for the reversing lamp, if you are fitting after market lights, this usually goes on the oposite side of the car to the fog lamp, on the nearside. As far as i know however there is no requirement for the position of a reversing lamp, just as long as its visible to others.
