I'm hoping at some point I can pick up an AMG, do like the E63 still.
I have been looking for an 55 or 63 without too much damage at the insurance salvage yards for a while but when they crash its not usually pretty Lol

But most people use their eyes and brain to judge whether the space is big enough for not only their car, but also their parking ability. Just because the car thinks it will fit in a space, doesn't mean the driver has the ability to get it in there.

I think it was just marketing blurb for the salesman to spew out to make you go "wow" when looking at the car, but ultimately nobody has ever found it useful. We should start a poll to find out, and stop ruining this guys thread :p
Park Assist comes into operation if you are travelling under 20mph and will look for spaces that the car can park in on either side of the road dependant on which direction indicator is on. Once a space is identified the car alerts you and then you just press "Ok" to let the car park itself, the car controls the steering and you act on instructions with the gears, brake and accelerator. The system actually worked very well on my ML.

Holy sh*t I just watched a video on it being used. I almost want to go outside and see if mine does it! It definitely has the little blue P come up.

Mine only has park guidance, so you get onboard instructions on how much steering lock to apply. Only used once as test

As Capra says - there are 2 systems ‘Park assist’ which operates as he says then ‘active Park assist ‘ which works as Flowrider describes. I believe it was from 2013 MY vehicles. I have it in my 212 (and the previous one) and use it where appropriate. It works well once you trust it!

My old W212 had Park assist and my new one has active park assist. Whilst both are interesting and do work, I find it far quicker to just park it myself. It's useful for the wife though!

Thanks for all your comments :)

I was able to give the interior a full deep clean however, including treating the Leather and adding some moisture back into it. I also used some leather dye I have in a kit to restore the drivers seat colour back.

1) Fixed the bonnet pull:

Restored the colour back into the drivers seat:

After I will video/document the process:

Finally after all the heavy rain this weekend I was able to give the car 2x washes and a go with my DA Polisher before heading over to M2287's place to give him a spin. :)

Now I have fixed a couple of small issues with the interior, it looks brand new: :D

Ambient lighting set to blue:

Ill try to make a full photoshoot next weekend once I have my normal plate back on it.

Videos I plan to make for my channel:

-Accessing Engineering Mode
-Activating Race Start
-An in-depth review of the car
-How to pair a phone via Bluetooth (this isnt as easy as it should be! - even with instructions)

Brilliant job there, looks really good. How easy was the bonnet release?

Just needed re-clipping in weirdly! - the car has had the rear Airmatic replaced so im guessing they had to access the fuse boxes etc and didnt put everything back 100 correctly.

The lack of Star in my engine bay was annoying me, so today I worked on my modification - only cost me £6 in total!

1st I cut the mesh to the size of the W202 star:

Threaded through some Paperclips to hold them together:

Went around the edges trimming them the mesh to size:

Drilled 2x small holes in the engine cover:

And there you go:

Not 100% perfect, but for the meanwhile until I think of a better method to join them all together im more than happy with it:

And for Comparison, OEM badge off an S model:

Who says modding is dead these days eh? :D :D :D

I have shot loads of video and will create a HOWTO Video and thread for this. :)
