Hi all,

Can anybody shed some light on the following fault codes I found on my w212 e250 cgi, 2013?

I used an icarsoft i980 and can’t seem to find any info online :-(

P06da00
Motor electronics SIM271DE20 for combustion engine (M271E)

333530
Electronic ignition lock (N73)

363830
Left front reversible emergency tensioning retractor

363930
Right front reversible emergency tensioning retractor

00030b
Parktronic (n62)

353030
Air conditioning (n22/7)

I hope it’s not serious .... thanks for any help!

You’d be noticing all of these things I reckon if they were current- are they stored codes? Wonder if they should just be cleared

I agree. Car seems fine to me, but still a little worrying ! Do you know what these codes relate to?

I tried to delete the codes but the icarsoft wouldn’t let me and kept saying it was unsuccessful at deleting them....

Don't look like fault codes, just modules present or list of specs.

Hmmm.... I went into each module and clicked on read error codes, most modules had none recorded. The modules listed above had those error codes recorded ...

Clear them and see if any come back, could be historic

Second one is EIS, the next two are seatbelt tensioners I believe, I’m wondering if they are all start related codes?

Hmmmm.... I’m wondering if I’ve been sold a duff car, although the seller seemed really genuine.

The only thing is, I haven’t noticed any issues with it whilst driving and the ignition works every time.

I really don’t want to take it to Merc for a diagnostic if I don’t have to, but maybe it’s looking like I should ? :’(

If you were in my situation would you try to return the car ?

The fact that it’s driving fine like others have mentioned makes me think stored codes, I wouldn’t hit the panic button yet...
Find your local independent Mercedes specialist and get a diagnostic done with codes cleared where applicable
Probably cost £100 or less

Sound advice John.

I’ve found two indies next to me, I’ll give them a call Monday and let you all know how I get on.

Soooooo, I paid for a diagnostic and visual inspection - the only error code that came up was P06da00 and the STAR machine basically said delete and ignore the code.

I’m extremely relieved. Thanks to you for your help.

I wonder why icarsoft had so many codes recorded which just defeats the purpose of having it!

I bought it in Jan 2017, I’m not entirely sure but I think it was a reputable seller on eBay. I think it might need a software update. I’ll plug it into my pc at some point.

Interestingly the mechanic told me he has the same car, fully loaded with extras but would sell it in a heartbeat and het a Lexus if he could ... something about the electronics always going wrong with these. Didn’t inspire me with confidence!

Don’t listen to him, you wouldn’t want a Japanese Mercedes would you?
The 212 is generally a reliable motor as many on here will attest
