Just took delivery of brand new CLK 220 CDI - tip, metallic, leather, sports package, parktronic, 18" alloys etc, etc, etc - £ 30,500 !

yeah. never thought of that. i think (as far as my spies mentioned) all new MB's are getting a discount except new M class and CLS. I got a new car discount of £1400 off the SLK. then they banged up the part ex value and slung in a few goodies. obvioulsy they are making money on cars, but they offfered me £500 less for the Slinkymoblie Mk1 than i paid for it (Bear in mind it was 11 months old and had 7000miles on it) and it is on their forecourt £1000 less than the part ex value. considering they will expect to negotiate that price too some dealers are probably recieving a bump in money for new car sales and so offer a discount to get some metal moving! helps sales figures which appear to be in decline.

They are knocking £3000k off SL's before you start. but i did notice almost that as a price increase in the middle of the year.
