It looks as though MB have dropped the prices on these things, they wanted £245 for a pair of fronts for mine some 3 years back, so I bought the OE Zimmerman for £98 the pair

Thanks for the prices I thought they were more than I saw on line. I'm sure the genuine MB product is of a very high standard and was told they never squeal. Right next up typical B service costs.
Thank you both for the constructive replies.

None will squeal if fitted correctly

Just a quick update, I tried an SL 500 the other day and really liked it apart from the fact in my opinion it lacked a bit of oomph. So got round to thinking that there is an AMG version of it with that wonderful supercharged engine this could in fact solve a dilemma as I was thinking of buying a Renault Sport Spider for the odd nice day blast as a second car but this car could do both. Are they comfortable on a 200 mile drive? I will of course only buy one with cooled/massage seats so is there anything a prospective buyer needs to note

I only have the 500, but my rear disc at 50k miles are the original, I only changed the front as the went rather odd

I was looking at a CL500 the other day, good nick, low miles, history ok, and during my MB search of the car found it had had discs and pads at 30k miles.......maybe a result of hard driving ..dunno??
Cheers
