Hi

Mercedes CLK profile.jpg I have the CLK200 2004 A209 and have the dreaded click behind the dash. I am hoping the dealer will sort it as I only purchased it 2 weeks ago although he is playing slow.

I purchased the LAUNCH X431 Elite 2.0 for Mercedes-Benz OBD2 full systems scanner but it only shows engine and gearbox codes, despite rave reviews on it being better.

Is there a scanner that would show what stepper motor is at fault withing a reasonable price for a diy'er? I'd like to be better armed with info if I need to have an argument with the dealer.

I have a number of other odd issues too such as interior lights not always coming on with either door open, random rear lights not working, occasional other odd warning lights. All intermittent.

The car is lovely and drives like new but a few odd things are worrying me.

NB I live in Spain

Any history of leaks on the car, some electrical gremlins there.

I use an icarsoft mb v3. Please check if it reads the module for the stepper motor.

Are you sure that you're not just using the OBDII mode on that Launch tool? Only the PCM and TCM will respond to that.
The Diagnose option should use the manufacturer specific services and be able to interact with all modules.

No leaks I'm aware of, not much rain here.

Not sure I can set it. I've looked but no settings to do that.

Hi

Well yesterday I tried my Launch on manual mode and looked up the model and hey presto it worked. Originally giving quite a few faults but i reset and ran again and it came back with just 5 that I knew of plus under voltage at pin 30. I tried to start the car and found I had a flat battery.

The reader tells me the M2/11 flap is stuck and the reset could not be done on the HAVAC because of this. I think this points to the lower footwell heating stepper motor arm so not too bad a job. I am still hoping the garage will fix under their warrantee.

Try it again with a fully charged battery.
You never know.

I have tried again since the charge and still low voltage at pin 30. I think the battery is sick (not sick as in the way teenagers use sick LOL)

What is the battery voltage do you have a multimeter to check.
