Hello,

I brought my 1995 S320 in for a smog check and was told that the "ECU does not have power" or is not working. The technician got an error message "OBDII No connection to ECU" which prevented them from running tests. Does anyone have a clue on what might be the problem and how to resolve this without getting the car to the dealer (if possible)?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum. Could it be that the test set was not compatible with the MB

Both of you are right! I went to another smog test shop that works exclusively with European cars and had my car pass the check. Thank you for your help!
