HI All,

As now running a W123 240D, with a healthy 102k on the clock, I'm looking for peeps views on the best oil for the engine, and frequency of changing of the oil.
I'm expecting to do circa 8000 miles per year, with a town/motorway balance of 40/60.

Was considering a magnatex type oil, and changing every 6,000 miles.

What does the panel feel is best?

*personally* I use a good mineral oil 10w30 (that I get free from work :)) and change it every 3/4000 miles on the w123. with a posher oil, 6000 is about right.

The Magnatex is a hybrid oil and should do fine in that engine, you get the best of both worlds
