Paint Issues

Hi All, I have owned my E Class for nearly 18 months and have noticed that the paint has little blisters appearing on several panels. It is Fire Opal Red and I believe there have been issues with this colour. Any feed back would be great as I am about to approach the dealership and see what they will do.

Just search “Fire Opal” on this forum and you will bring up pages of background info. I believe the dealers usually offer a full respray with the exception of the plastic bits like the bumpers.

Full bare metal repaint is what is required, loads on this forum about this Problem.
The good news is MB seem to be doing the right thing now and sorting out the issue.

Welcome, as others it seems at least MB are facing up to this... I know at least 2 got/had the full works, an SLK55 and a C63 Ed507...stick with it - fabulous colour

Thanks John I intend to push it to the limit. I love the car and the colour and intend to keep it for a long time.
