I have no idea when this feature was added and other users may all know this hidden benefit.
Planning a trip recently I was adding en route destinations to the sat nav using the slow "point to each letter of the destination on the display and press OK" method, when, being used to SMSing using a keypad, I tried entering letters/numbers using the phone keypad on the right side of the display. Bingo it worked brilliantly, takes much less time and is really easy. press OK when done
Perhaps everyone knows this - the manual certainly does not.
I am using the latest Nav disk.
Just thought I would pass this on.

so you can text message type in the info, from the phone number pad not the clunky screen list with a joy stick?

sounds like it could be an improvement but my parents will end up more confused if I tell them about it
