I have rebuilt engines, some from the ground up including re-specced cams, multiple carbbies, different sized pistons etc etc But never a Merc. i have an '83 500SEC 5 litre V8. I am gathering info for a relatively low cost tweak. I have been thinking higher spec cams, Changing the exhaust, overhauling the injection system and supercharging. Has anyone been there before and done any of this. The starting price i have had is around £3000, twice what I paid for the car. Any more reasonable ideas???
