Evening All,

Looking at a potential R107 purchase ( have owned a R129 and fancy a more classic drive) and thinking better to purchase honest vehicle that clearly declares its faults !

I'm just after any advice of an estimate of cost for the infamous bulkhead repairs undertaken by an Indy

Many Thanks

Maybe it will depend on how extensively it is corroded.

It’s not going to be cheap though.

Probably best to email a few Bodyshop’s, maybe Silchester as they do 107 rebuilds and will be very aware of what’s involved.

I once replaced and entire bulkhead on an S Class, no mean fete, but at least it was rust free once fitted and no unsightly repairs to see. ;)
Was a good few days work!

The SL shop have their own specially made bulkhead repair panel, the figure of £2500 springs to mind for the job from them, I could be wrong though
