R129 ashtray cover fitting

Hi all, can anyone tell me the process to replace the louvred ashtray sliding cover on a 92 r129. Mine is missing. I cannot see how it fits. Thanks in advance!

There is a track on either side. It moves, slides around inside this, as does the top stowage, cassette cover.

I think the console needs to be out to refit it.

As above, you can jiggle them in without lifting consul but it’s very tight and can risk damaging new part. Also check to see if old part is removed, it may have slid round.
