I got the red ABC drive carefully warning a week or so ago and a STAR readout from the local indy shows sensor faults on multiple sensors!!!

Having seen a large mouse/small rat drop out of the front of the car I!m guessing I've got a chewed cable somewhere so I'm in the process of dropping all the under body covers to search for some chewed cables.

I seem to remember a post from Malcolm a while back where he had a dicky connector on the ABC controller unit. Can someone tell me where the controller is so I can check the connections??

can't answer the direct question, but if it dropped out the nearside front, you'll find the valve block there with several wires leading into it. There's a triangular panel that covers it - undo the fixings at the very front & it can be folded down and back to gain access (I've seen the MB dealer do it this way so no danger of it breaking)

All the underbody panels are off now together with NSF wheel arch and no chewing so far. Just got the back end up on stands so rear wheel arch liners off in the morning.

Checked the fuses for the ABC and both were OK!!! Still hopeful of finding chewed wires as that's gonna be the easiest to fix so long as I can get to them.

Any pointers to the location of the ABC controller most welcome.

Thanks for that. I'll have a dig around tomorrow and check the connector out.

Malcolm's ecu was full of dry joints, he re-soldered them all, that cured his warnings.......

Finally found what I suspected- a rats nest under the window scuttle panel to the side of the battery!

The little txxt had dragged a pile of leaves in and taken exception to the shape of the loom so had started remodelling it. 4 wires chewed through, 1 half way through and another with the insulation chewed off.. All soldered up and no red warning so seems to have been the problem.

Thanks for the replies guys.
