Hello and good evening all

As part of my R230 ABC overhaul, I've just started rebuilding the valve blocks.

I'm using the XR8 rebuild kits and have an issue with the size and fitment of the larger o rings, which seal the solenoid from the outside elements.

Has anybody had any issues like this ?

If you look at the following XR8 install guide, look at R5 and S1.

One of them is a regular o ring that just seems slightly smaller than the one I removed and won't sit properly, rather one side pops up when you push in the other side.

Yes I did, unfortunately my valve block had water get inside (well, theres a surprise) and 2 of my valve would not release, even with a big vice, stilsons and a 4 pound hammer.
I had to buy a complete new valve block.
I can't remember how much the new valve block was, but it wasn't dear. I purchased it from the same company I got my tandem pumps from in Poland.

I had found the covers had crack on the old block which allowed water ingress. Totally seizing the valve in the block

Ack... so it turns out the R5 o rings are ever so smaller than factory.

I found correct diameter in a local store.. but they are a bit heavier gauge and I can't get the solenoid to lock in place.

I've been in touch with X8R and they are looking into it.. they are being very helpful.
