It’s probably why people want to overtake my smart, they then get upset when I go past them… they think it’s slow… it’s not

I wanted an 84bhp petrol and tried a couple, they were all slow compared to the instant go of the vastly superior diseasal and its mountain of torque :p:cool::D

Well I'll try letting the next Smart in that I see, the problem is, you don't see that many round here. I bet the drivers behind will honk me for my consideration :(

Had my first experience at the 20mph driving while working in Wales last week. When your in traffic it just feels like everyday city driving but on your own it feels slow and of course non of the aids work at that speed to help so your constantly checking the speedo.

Both my MB’s work on cruise but only at 21mph + (this in the real world is probably 19/20mph

I wonder how many visitors to Wales will be put off by the 20MPH limit particularly those who have received a fine.

It certainly puts me off as I have never had a speeding ticket and don't want one because of a ridiculous limit.

Some trade drivers people will be struggling and those who do house calls such as carers.
If 20% of your time is spent on the road between clients adding say 25% to that travelling time is a pay cut many cannot afford.

Will Bus and Taxi fares go up?

I like Wales, it is a beautiful country, and no the 20 limit would definitely not put me off. You can't really go fast in Wales anyway. We usually just bobble about in our Landie, enjoying the scenery.

That's interesting. My girlfriend, the lovely Samantha, owns a brand new E Class Cabriolet and always drives it with her top down. She says handsome young male drivers always let her out with a quick flash and / or hand gesture. o_O

20 limit is f daft. As deforming bonnet hinges and putting eng in backwards... left, right, left again worked pretty well, that limit will play havoc with all the emissions crxp. Motor will just clog up.
Motorist always seems to take the brunt of all safety ideas, why don't pedestrians and cyclists dress up like Michelin man? They can just bounce of everything then!!!!

Why oh why, when I pull up behind someone at the lights or in some other queue do they then move 1 or 2 metres forward and leave a big gap between us?
It's not as though I pull up too close or too swiftly to them!!!!!!
Grrrrrrrr
Why does it matter, are you a bad tempered driver.

I leave every traffic light in a rolling burnout. Seems to go down quite well and deals with the tailgaters.

Yep, me too. Tailgaters are unable to keep up. Sometimes I let them catch up, so I can do it again. :) Of course I can brake a lot harder than them, which also wakes them up.

I have to admit I tend to squeeze-up to the vehicle in front when I'm in a traffic jam in London, to try to help to create space for those behind....thanks to the advice here, I'm going to keep to tyres & tarmac
s5tuart, are your lights too bright/ adjusted ok...? maybe that's why they're pulling away...
