rear door pin bouncing when locking

hi all, bought myself a 2003 c200 compressor as a non runner as a gamble, thank you to all those who commented/helped, it is now on the road, found a plug and play ecu,eis,key and steering lock for £225 with postage, it is all up and running sweet as a nut, been driving it a few days now all of a sudden when I go to lock it the rear passenger door pin bounces and will not lock, wondering if anyone can help or come across this with their car?? thanks all

Small spring broken inside lock mechanism, search 'bouncing lock'...

edit: spring can be bought from ebay, but taking lock out, changing the spring and putting everything back takes couple of hours especially first time.
