REPLACING THE PUDDLE LIGHTS IN BOTTOM OF THE DOORS

HI I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A CLS 320 2008 & WANT TO CHANGE THE PUDDLE LIGHTS IN BOTTOM OF THE DOORS (HAVING BOUGHT SOME LED LOGO LIGHTS) I CAN PRISE THE PLASTIC FITTING DOWN BUT CANT SEEM TO DISCONECT IT FROM WHAT LOOKS LIKE A 2-PIN PLUG? ANY ADEAS?

I had the same problem on an E coupe. Ended up just cutting the plug off and soldering the wires to the new lamp unit.

make sure they are not on a ribbon cable like they were on the w211!

On my 2008 S204 the plug just pulls out of the puddle light, might have a small retainer part of the clip holding the plug in place.

As above, I changed mine and using a plastic trim tool to prise the light out, it was unplug and play

THANKS FOR THE INFO, WAS HOPING THEY UNCLIPPED JUST INCASE I HAD TO PUT ORIGINAL ONES BACK

Hi ived just checked thy are on a ribbon cable but the end still looks like a plug
