Retrofit CD/MP3 Player for older MB's - Does anyone know of

I recently purchased a 1980 300SD in nice shape. Most everything works electrically, save the stock AM/FM stereo. When I turn the volume/power knob, the speakers emit a horrible squelch. I imagine that I could spend a little money having the stock unit repaired. However, I would be more content with a CD/MP3 unit that had a classic face plate. I know that some company makes at least a CD player for classic cars. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to locate any information on them. Does anyone know of any sources/suppliers?
