Screwfix had a special on for £70 so couldn’t resist and bought one. I have to say I’m really impressed with the camera definition and the motion sensor works well. Mounted next to the front door the camera covers all the drive including both cars so really pleased about this. If anyone is thinking about a low cost option to increase house security I can recommend it :)

Do you have a link to the offer please?
The offer only lasted a day and the price jumped from £70 back to £100 :( - before I could buy another for my daughter

This is the generation 2 doorbell/camera (current model gen 4) so worth keeping an eye on prices at Screwfix and Amazon etc

They appear to be price matching at the moment - I still think it’s good value at £100 and a steal at £70 the tech is amazing the app works on my iPhone and iPad so you can view camera actuation/live feed anywhere in the world via internet

An old B-Class.
My son had one installed recently & they love it (they have a big house and never hear the doorbell). When I suggested it (several years ago), he scoffed and told me it would look out of place on a listed building.

Us old people know nothing.

MissyD - I suggest you search eBay.

There are new Gen 2 Rind Bells there from c. £55 inc postage

I have a 2K Eufy which beat the Ring in tests and so it now means I get to see yet another view of people from my phone, occasionally I think it's useful but the new trend is you get a picture of your fancy doorbell being pinched!

Cases to protect them are available.

Oh no, not another add on to buy!

The subscription is £35pa for retaining the video for 3 months - now if the police were bothered about catching thieves it might be worth it - there are workarounds which I’ll look into - most companies want you on subscription nowadays ‘mana from heaven’

I’ve just fashioned a hood for the doorbell so that it doesn’t register me for two hours while I’m washing the cars lol.

The Eufy doesn't need a subscription.

Pictures of thieves does not mean arresting of thieves.

I have the same one, very good.

My parents have the full alarm system which is excellent and the camera with floodlight is brilliant

The police like to look at video of cars passing the property a few nights before the event apparently - makes sense
