Just noticed the tax for the 207 will pass the 60 quid a month mark this year for our beloved gas guzzlers! Crikey. Can't wait to start paying that when he comes out of winter sleep (recent repairs aside)! Still, much enjoyment still from that burbly V8! Roll on summer now, please.

£720 a year for your 207, isn't that an old van?

Hope it isn't going to double from last year  otherwise I'll tax 3 now for the year
My smart is £0, my BMW motorcycle is nearly £120 for the year :(
Porsche and SLK both the same at ~£410 and the Landy ~£320

BMW now down to £180 due to the fact that it is now outwith the "luxury tax" age , unfortunately the Porker isn`t and is presently £660 for another 18 months.

Something wrong when their combined monthly Road Tax is more than their combined monthly fuel costs.

Just another f rip off. Does not incl cost of damage inflicted by cart tracked the UK gov calls roads. Excise duty bollocks I can't use my car on road unless I pay UK gov each Yr. Its a tax, simples.

The cut off date of 26 03 2006 makes a massive difference to the amount of road fund licence.
I'm paying £320 pa for a poxy little 1.6 Blue Efficiency C class!
My previous E63 is now £695 and will be £720 in April. That is shocking considering later 17 plate E63's are now £180 pa.

It would be easier to swallow if the Government actually spent the road fund licence on maintaining, repairing and building new roads, but it's just another source of income that never fully drips through to what its actually charged for.

Pretty outrageous really. My partner keeps telling me it's too much and I keep chunnering yes I know, but I really like the car. How long I'll be allowed to hang onto it for is anyone's guess, but I'm resisting well thus far!
