Sat Nav

Hi everyone

Hope this is the right place to ask this.
Just bought a Mercedes for my pops, he loves it and whilst getting to grips with all the knobs and dials etc and finally managing to pair my mobile with the system I had a thought.. although the system doesn't have a Sat Nav, is there any way of putting in a disk or updating the firmware to have it installed or would it require the purchase of a complete new unit (if even that is possible).

No urgency, was just a thought

Hello and welcome. There’s not a lot of chance of a simple software upgrade so it would be a complete new Comand unit if one is available for a car of that age.

These guys are the acknowledged experts in this field so they could give you a definite answer. But, be warned, Comand retrofits usually come in at well over £1000!

Thanks so much for your quick reply... i feared as much Was worth an ask though... it wasn't a requirement when I bought the car, so it's no bother, but always good to know.
