Why a 220? I ask because i recently test drove a 96N E220 coupe with an AMG body kit and it wasn't a patch on my 15 year old 190E. It handled like a barge and seemed slower than my 190 2.0l!!! And it was rusty!!!!!!!!!!! :-x

What was your 300 CE like as i think thats what id like to buy next. That or a 320 24V.

hi... if you are thinking of buying a 300/320ce you will not be disappointed...what a brilliant car ! also going from a 190 to 300ce gives you a good feeling of change. my current c220 deisel let me down bad...bought for £3000 10 months ago as a bridge car to save money for e300td a/gaurde. are you ready... sold coupe for £6000 bought really nice c220d put on brand new 16inch clk alloys from dealer special £300 then tyres £300, 8 weeks later, deisel pump £1000 5 weeks later wiper motor £300 new springs £130 new discs&pads £200 new front glass £50 new wiper stick £100 new star + rebadged £100....oh look!there go my savings. anyway.. e300td not same build, the reason for the e220 is that i,m not bothered about the power, but just to own a coupe again. i will put pictures on the gallery v soon, c220d up for sale this week £2500 on quick sale, all mots to verify 129.000 m reg, champagne, beige tex... if you know anyone. cheers, rob hamill.glasgow.
